Privacy Policy
How Zerqis handles personal data and the client financial records our customers put into the product.
What we collect
Zerqis holds two distinct kinds of information, and treats them differently.
- Account data — the name, work email, role and organization of the people who use the product, so we can authenticate them and scope what they can see.
- Client accounting data — the transactions, categorizations, exceptions and questions your firm processes. This belongs to you and your clients. We hold it to run the service for you.
How client data is isolated
Every query in the product is scoped to an organization resolved on the server. Nothing sent from a browser is trusted as an organization identifier, so one customer cannot address another customer’s records.
How we use it
Client accounting data is used to provide the service to the firm that supplied it: categorizing transactions, raising exceptions, tracking questions and producing that firm’s analytics. We do not pool client transaction data across customers to train a shared model, and we do not sell it.
AI processing
Where an AI model is used to suggest a categorization, the relevant transaction details may be sent to a third-party model provider for that purpose. Zerqis also runs a deterministic rules and history engine, and the product works end to end without any external model configured.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. On request we will export it in a usable format and delete it. We do not treat retention as a way to make leaving harder.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Requests go through the contact page and are answered by the team directly.
Changes
When this policy changes materially we will say so rather than silently updating the page. Last reviewed August 2026.
